INFORMATION FOR

Tutors
Home | Tutors
If you are a tutor and you are interested in working with us on an hourly basis, please fill in the contact form below and attach your CV.
Please note, we take on only a small number of the tutors who apply to work with us, and it is possible that, if we do not think that you are a good fit based on your CV, you will not be invited to interview. We receive a large number of applications and cannot guarantee that we will respond to all applicants.
If you are interested in working with us as a homeschooling or academic support tutor, we post job vacancies for such roles here. These roles have their own application process with instructions in the job description.
If you would like to be notified about new homeschooling and other full-time job openings, please subscribe to our newsletter in the website's footer.
Advice to prospective tutors
We only work with experienced, exceptional tutors. Our full-time roles are especially competitive and so we advise that applicants review our guidance here before making an application: https://www.witherowbrooke.com/post/advice-to-tutors-applying-for-long-term-positions

What to expect if you are invited to an interview
Directors Roland and William personally interview all tutors prior to putting them forward for any roles.
The structure of the interview will vary depending on whether you are applying for a particular full-time role, or for part-time hourly tuition jobs.
In both cases, however, you will be asked to give a ten minute sample lesson, for which you will have either Roland or William as their student. This will be recorded and sent to a prospective family should you ultimately be put forward for any role. The sample lesson is not designed to test subject knowledge, rather for us, and ultimately the family, to gauge your teaching style and personality. Please note it should be treated as an interactive lesson rather than a demonstration or presentation.
Should you progress through the interview, we will require a minimum of two references for hourly tuition and three references for homeschooling and academic support roles, and will be carrying out background checks before putting you forward for any role.
