Witherow Brooke is an elite international tuition agency, based in England, providing private tuition and educational consultancy for families in the UK and around the world.
After studying Physics at Oxford University, founder William Brooke worked as both a full-time and part-time Science and Mathematics tutor, and has assisted families and other tutors in developing bespoke curricula and teaching methods across different age groups and abilities to help students develop their technical skills and foster their interest and passion in studying the Sciences.
Witherow Brooke sets itself apart from other agencies by operating a highly selective process and working with only elite tutors. Founders Roland and William additionally deal personally with all clients and tutors to provide a fully bespoke service, finding the right personality of tutor for each student.
I cannot praise Henry enough, he’s been absolutely wonderful with [the student] over the years. Both his English and Maths have improved significantly and working with Henry also did wonders for his motivation and self confidence.
We only hire tutors with exceptional academic records and tutoring references. For assignments with specific learning requirements and Special Education Needs (SEN) such as Dyscalculia, ADHD or ASD, we exclusively hire tutors with prior experience.
Maths Anxiety can be reduced by breaking topics down into smaller parts, therefore reducing the feeling of being overwhelmed, and by introducing more fun into the learning process. Relating Maths to daily life, and relating to numbers through play can all help change the fixed perceptions of maths, resulting in a child that is more receptive to number work.

We headhunt and interview personally all the tutors in our network, including having them provide a sample lesson which gives an idea of their personality and teaching style. For every tutor we work with we interview more than a dozen candidates, all with the highest levels of experience and academic achievement.

Tutors who successfully pass our interview process are then subjected to meticulous background checks and reference collection. These checks serve to establish a well-rounded assessment of candidates' teaching ability, academic background and character.

WHO WE ARE
Directors Roland Witherow and William Brooke have a combined thirty years of experience in private tuition and educational consultancy. Having studied together at Christ Church, Oxford, Roland worked for many years as a homeschooling tutor, specialising in the Humanities and Music. William worked as a financial consultant and private tutor in the Maths and Sciences before setting up Witherow Brooke. He also makes educational films in Physics and Philosophy.
